This year marks the sesquicentennial or 150 anniversary of the FDNY. In recognition of this extraordinary milestone the Hundred Year Association will honor New York’s bravest at the Annual Gold Medal Award Dinner with its Excellence in Public Service Award. The award will be presented to FDNY Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro.
The award is given to organizations whose unique history and contribution to New York City merit recognition. The FDNY has overwhelmingly exceeded this standard for more than 150 years. We are honored to award the FDNY with the 2015 Excellence in Public Service Award.
